Nadine - March

There is just one word that describes this accommodation:  WOW!!!

I spent days and hours looking for a villa that fitted the need of our family (11) in total for my parents special wedding anniversary celebration in March, we did not want to travel too far but fancied a change of country and believe me, I could not have made a better choice! The villa is impeccably clean and most importantly, extremely well equipped, welcoming and beautiful.  You can just feel the love and passion that was put into creating this little paradise.  Rest assured when considering this villa:  it looks even more beautiful in real life that on the pictures that inspired us to book.

There is so much to do and visit in this part of France and wonderful out of season.  We went to the island of Porquerolles, visited the Italian market on Tuesday in San Remo, Monaco, Cannes, Nice, Moustiers san Marie, had wonderful lunches in the little Provencal villages, wine tasting and many other outings.  The jacuzzi is fabulous and warm and we really enjoyed savouring cocktails in the evenings after our wonderful day trips.  We could have stayed for months before discovering everything the area has to offer.

My parents had the most wonderful wedding anniversary week possible and they will cherish the memories for ever.  Jane is the most fantastic host and a great tour guide; she is always available and made us feel completely at home.  We most definitely will be back but hopefully for longer.

Thank you, Jane xxx

Jessica - Easter

We wanted to go away as a family for Easter and spend 10 days savouring Provence and its local culture.  My sister was to join us from Italy and my parents were coming from the states.  We all joined up at Nice airport and rented cars to drive to Villa Provence.  Jane met us at the local supermarket and our adventure began.

The villa surpassed our expectations as it is located in a peaceful location with wonderful walks from the door and there are numerous amenities within easy driving distance.  Easter is a charming time of year in Provence as everything is fresh and waking up to brace itself for summer.  The weather was great and even the couple of days drizzle we had did not worry us in the slightest as we prepared scrumptious feasts and savoured them on the immense table in the sitting room sipping delicious regional wine from the vineyards we visited.  Easter Sunday was the best as we decorated the table and hid eggs in the garden for the children.  We really enjoyed the jacuzzi an took the option hammam along with a couple of massages.

We only regret that we could not have stayed longer!

Villa Provence was just absolutely stunning and an oasis for us in Provence.  Exactly what a big group of 5 couples traveling on a France road trip needed when traveling from Nice, Provence to Lyon.  Cuers is right smack in the middle and allows for easy access to either Saint Tropez, Hyeres, Marseille, Cannes, Nice, or Plateau Valensole.  The accommodation was simply stunning, redecorated from an old barn, the rooms actually look better and more spacious than the already good photos!  We enjoyed four wonderful nights cooking up a feast, enjoying the plancha and of course the many wines the area has to offer.  Jane was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay - it is fantastic to be able to be guided by someone who really knows the region rather than taking pot luck from the internet.  The villa also has a very useful house book with lots of great ideas of things to do.

If you are traveling in a big group of up to 12 people, Villa Provence is the exactly the right destination for you.  Our only wish is that we could have spent more afternoons around the heated pool just chilling with wines and friends, which means more nights (on hindsight perhaps next time)!  Get this villa for your choice in Provence if its available (we were very lucky)!  Simply our best accommodation throughout the whole of France!!!

We spent a wonderful few days at Villa Provence, in a very calm area in the middle of vines and conveniently located 5 minutes away from a large supermarket. The villa is far better than described, plenty of space to accommodate guests, large dining table for memorable dinners with friends and family.  Beautiful swimming pool, fantastic jacuzzi, a pétanque pitch, plenty of activities for entertainment for everyone. The flight to Nice was easy and the journey very feasible for a long weekend.  Jane made us feel at ease from the very first contact, was very accommodating and available all during our stay.  we are all looking forward to returning to this beautiful villa and a special thank you to Jane, you are a wonderful host xxx

Magic, Magnificent, Spectacular, Beautiful Amazing…...

There are not enough words to describe the Villa Provence experience!

We decided to have a long ‘girlie weekend’ and although we pushed our budget a little – it was well worth our wonderful break and the Villa is so much more beautiful than the photos which seduced us to book!!!

We left on Thursday and caught a flight to Nice where we had booked a car and the journey to the villa was really easy – motorway all the way and Jane met us at the local supermarket which is just off the A57, only 5 minutes from the villa.

When we arrived, we were totally blown away by the spectacular setting…... an oasis in the middle of vines and just parking the car transports you into another world!!!

We had plans to visit a vineyard or visiting a beach and discovering the local area (of which the choice of activities is huge) but ended up not wanting to leave our own paradise, drinking local chilled rosé, barbecuing (there is a fabulous outside kitchen with a plancha) and chilling around the spectacular pool which is like an oasis.

The villa is superbly equipped and Jane is so gracious that we felt completely at home the moment we arrived until the end of our stay.

The only complaint we have is that we should have stayed longer but we will definitely come again!

Thank you for letting us share such a fabulous experience.

Jane is a wonderful host.  The villa was beyond anything we were hoping for – beautifully decorated, huge amounts of space both inside and out, and little touches everywhere to make it utterly picturesque and special.  I particularly loved the dressing gowns and rose wine!!

The view around the villa is phenomenal and we spent many an evening with a glass of wine just watching the sunset on the vineyards.  The kitchen facilities are fantastic, as is the plancha and outside eating space which was more than big enough for my group of 12 people.  The sleeping situation was also perfect – with a couple who slept in the gym room which can be converted into a bedroom with shower and loo.

I am so glad I booked this villa to celebrate my 40th birthday – I will NEVER forget it and hope to go back very very soon.

The villa and scenery offer a luxury experience that cannot be captured through pictures.  Hollywood in Provence is not descriptive enough!!!

I booked Villa Provence for a family gathering (my parent’s birthday) which included kids of all ages - we all had the most wonderful experience.  It is also a great place for friends if you’d like to chill in the country side and be surrounded by nature, good food and wine!

I ran 10 km every morning with my brother around the vines and towards the hills breathing in the pure fresh air.  It’s the kind of run you do that reminds me of how lucky you are to be alive…... I live in London, so I am not used to having so much nature around so this was just heaven.

We cooked in the fabulous outside kitchen and swam in the magnificent pool, finishing with cocktails in the jacuzzi in the evenings.  The morning sunrises are sublime and the setting sun sets the sky alight before the stars start to twinkle (helped by the delicious rosé)!!!

There are also a lot of family activities available in the villa which makes it easy for everyone to find something to do without having to go anywhere.

Jae was absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful with recommendations.  We booked her private chef Alain who prepared the best birthday meal I have ever tasted and we had a fabulous party with some friends who we invited for the evening.  My parents had the best birthday ever of which they will cherish the memory forever.

Don’t hesitate to book, trust me, this is a very special place that you will never find anywhere else!

We had the most wonderful 10 days (which was too short!) in Villa Provence and Jane took amazing care of everything we needed.  The villa is spectacular – the kids loved the pool and trampoline and even the babies could play on the shallow ledge of the pool which has been designed especially.  We were 3 families with 4 children and 2 babies which is normally quite difficult to accommodate but this villa was just perfect, providing cots and high chairs along with toys and entertainment for everyone – not at one moment did we feel on top of one another!

Almost every evening we had dinner on the beautiful back terrace once the babies were safely tucked up in bed.  There is everything one could dream of in the kitchen – which made preparing meals a delight along with 2 dishwashers for the ease of the cleaning up!

There was a well-equipped gym with a pilates reformer which us girls just adored and weights for the men.  I went for a morning run which was splendid.

In short – it was most undoubtedly the most amazing smooth holiday I have ever had with friends and all our children.

THIS IS TRULY A 5-STAR EXPERIENCE

The villa is AMAZING and Jane has thought of everything and provided us with all the necessary advice and amenities for a magic holiday.

The location is perfect nestled in the vines of Provence.   All the rooms, beds, bathrooms, pool and surroundings are fabulous.  Walking through the vines at night, gazing at the stars is a memory we will cherish forever.

We absolutely loved our stay – no one in our group wanted to leave after the 6 nights there.  Thank you, jane!

WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Villa Provence is simply MAGICAL!  Our party of five adults and four children (ages 9-17) spent a week and wanted to stay forever.  The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures, surrounded by amazing vineyards with delicious Provence wines.  Every day we took a trip to a gorgeous place nearby, including lavender fields in Valensole, beaches in Le Lavandou, and the Ile de Porquerolles (you definitely need a car to get to the villa and explore).  Afternoons, we relaxed by the glimmering pool with local wine, played lawn games, checked in on the adorable chickens (fresh eggs every morning) and bunnies, and made dinner in the fantastic kitchen using produce and herbs from the gardens.  A real standout is host Jane, who met us with wine and produce, arranged a private vineyard tour for us, a private chef who cooked us an amazing six course meal and gave the BEST recommendations.  We are already planning our return – Villa Provence is our heaven.

Thank you, Jane xxx,

This villa is the most beautiful I have ever stayed in and I travel for my job.  This is truly a magnificent GEM nestled in the heart of vines and spectacular Provencal countryside.  Jane has put a huge amount of time into creating a home from home only a whole lot better.  The design and feel of the villa are so carefully and tastefully done, while feeling very personal and not at all ‘corporate to let’ like some properties we have stayed in.  The attention to detail is incredible!

Everything has been taken care of in terms of the supplies within the house of linens, crockery etc.  The kitchen has salt, pepper and spices etc which we replaced as we used but it meant that it was easy to cook as all the basics (and more) are there.  The kitchen has 2 dishwashers, large fridge with ice, a separate small fridge for cold drinks and an outside kitchen with a plancha and ice making machine, making day to day cooking and cleaning enjoyable rather than a chore.  The outside spaces each have their own feel – the back of the villa is very practical for dining and gets the morning sun so great for breakfast and enjoyable shade in the afternoon.  The pool area has plenty of options for sun and shade seating and the pool itself is actually big enough to feel like you can have a proper swim.  The scents, sounds and visions of true Provence are everywhere.

The villa is right in the middle of vines and is very peaceful.  The small town of Cuers is a few minutes’ drive and has cafes, butchers’ bakers etc and a market on Friday mornings.  It’s fairly sleepy but none the worse for that!  The beautiful coast (which boasts the most beautiful beaches in France) is 30-40 minutes away and a visit to the Golden Islands or Porquerolles is a must.  There is a good large Intermarche supermarket 5 mins drive away.

Jane is amazing – incredibly friendly full of useful advice on the villa and area and very quick to respond to any queries in advance of our travels and during our stay.  We booked the private chef on a couple of evenings during our 2 weeks stay which we can’t recommend highly enough as a wonderful holiday treat!

We would have loved to have been able to stay for many more weeks and hope to be able to return and share with other family and friends next year.

Thank you so much Jane for the holiday of a lifetime!

VILLA PROVENCE was undoubtedly the best villa I have EVER stayed in. 11 of us spent a fabulous week in the most beautiful property I have ever seen.  Jane looked after us so well, not only when we were actually on our holiday but in the t-run up to the trip as well.

We just absolutely loved it!!!  The beds are extremely comfortable, everything was clean, the pool was fantastic and the gardens beautifully manicured.  I can’t wait to come back!!!

Mark - August

We had a fantastic week at the villa.  We all liked it from the moment we arrived and it only got better the more we explored its many spaces.  It has everything a large family group needs; very well-equipped kitchens, big pool, generous and secluded grounds and many places to sit and chat in larger or smaller groups.  Jane was extremely helpful and welcoming throughout.  The nearby coastal towns of Hyeres and Le lavandou were fabulous, along with all the markets and vineyards.  We had the most amazing family holiday.

WOW WOW WOW, Villa Provence is simply TERRIFIC.

We had the most amazing time, relaxing around the stunning pool, and sipping chilled rosé in the jacuzzi perched and admiring the beautiful Provence vines.

We prepared dishes in the outside kitchen, using local produce and herbs fresh from the bountiful gardens and followed with a boules game in the evenings on the immaculately prepared pitch.

The villa itself is perfect – a tasteful décor lovely art, spacious rooms, a lovely covered terrace for dining and airy bedrooms with the comfiest of beds and balconies affording spectacular views over the Provence countryside.

Jane is absolutely charming and has equipped the property with simply everything you’d ever need.  it’s truly a home away from home and better!!!

There are absolutely loads of things to do in the local area – not that we actually wanted to do too much – our group comprised 8 adults and 3 toddlers and the villa was amply equipped to suit everyone’s needs – it has a children’s play area with swings and a trampoline and even the pool has a large ledge which the children played on for hours.  The little ones had as much fun as the adults – always a bonus.

Jane was very kind and nothing was too much trouble she made us feel wanted and not just ‘paying clients.  She even provided a fabulous hilled magnum of local rosé and a magnificent basket of succulent Provencal veggies – such a thoughtful touch!

We were all absolutely delighted with Villa Provence – it’s a real hidden gem and is a villa we would thoroughly recommend to all our friends – both for those with children and for those without – it’s an utterly charming and spectacular villa to spend a magical holiday.

We will definitely be returning next year – so au revoir – until next year!!
